Dr. Rachel DeLoatch, a Georgia native, earned her B.S. in Avian Biology from UGA and her D.V.M. from Lincoln Memorial University. She has experience in companion animal and exotic medicine and is the only doctor at Treehouse Animal Clinic currently offering pet acupuncture. Outside of work, she enjoys running, the outdoors, and spending time with her husband, friends, family, her lab Marley, and her cat Merlin.

Dr. Boyd, an Atlanta native and proud "Double Dawg," earned both her BSA in Animal and Biological Sciences (2017) and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (2021) from the University of Georgia. She shares her home with two tabby littermates, Cali and Tito, named after a favorite Athens restaurant. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the Dawgs, walking the Beltline with friends, and traveling.

Dr. Katie Boyd

Originally from Savannah, GA, Dr. Minami Yamada knew from age 9 that she wanted to be a small animal veterinarian. She earned her bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech in 2019 and her D.V.M. from the University of Georgia in 2023. Her interests include internal medicine and providing the best possible patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys surfing, playing guitar, and exploring Atlanta with her boyfriend. She adores her dog, Benji.

Dr. Minami Yamada

Christy, a metro Atlanta native and Clemson University alumna, has worked in the veterinary field since 2007. She lives near the Zoo with her husband, two children, and their pets - Cali, Romy, two rescued Weimaraners Frankie and Sully, and a Manx cat, Gus. In her free time, she enjoys photography, automotive racing, and lake life. Fun fact: her photography is featured in the clinic lobby!

Laura, born and raised in Atlanta, began working as a veterinary technician at just 15 and has been in the field ever since. She later worked in Memphis, TN, where she was recognized as the county's "Best Technician" before returning to Atlanta. For the past six years, she has been part of the Treehouse Animal Clinic team. Laura shares her home with two cats, Buddy and Lucy, and also holds a Black Belt in Karate.

Medicated baths can help ease many skin conditions in your pet. If he or she suffers from seborrhea (a noncontagious condition that can cause the skin to become dry and flaky or oily and scaly), a medicated bath can help alleviate the itching.

Pet Medicated Baths

The use of vaccines is essential to preventative medicine. Several infectious diseases, including rabies, hepatitis, parvovirus, bordetella, and Lyme disease, to mention a few, are prevented in pets through vaccination.

Pet Well Visits and Vaccines

As dogs and cats age, they need more attention and special care. Our senior wellness schedule can help your pet remain fit and healthy as he or she ages and help us catch any potential problems earlier when they’re easier to treat or manage. Regular veterinary exams can actually help your pet live longer, too!

For ordinary hospitalization, intensive care, critical care, and isolation, we offer facilities.

Pet Hospitalizations

When we need to figure out what's wrong with your pet, we routinely use x-rays to help identify the cause of the problem, rule out possible problems or provide a list of possible causes. We may also use x-rays during a wellness exam to diagnose potential problems before they become serious.

Pet Oral Radiographs

Most frequently, enucleation is suggested to treat unmanageable pain brought on by an eye condition. Glaucoma (increased pressure inside the eye), neoplasia (cancer inside or around the eye), severe injuries that cannot be healed medically, and severe infection/inflammation that cannot be treated with medication are the most frequent causes of enucleation.

Pet Enucleations

In a considerable majority of our patients, we amputate toes. Have you ever considered that? Numerous toe amputations, also known as digit amputations, have been carried out on both dogs and cats for a variety of causes.

Be mindful of your pet's nasty breath! The most common reason for bad breath in pets is poor dental hygiene, which can also be a sign of more serious health issues.
